I have been married for a long time, but I’m at the point right now that I’m wondering why I’m still here. I don’t know if staying is the best and healthiest option for me. We have kids, including one who is about to be out of the house and 2 school aged kids. I’ve been weighing my options. I don’t want to leave, but if things don’t change, I don’t know how much more of this I can take. My husband’s anger issues are a problem and he thinks everything I say is an attack against him, even if I’m just expressing a differing opinion. I don’t feel heard, and it doesn’t feel like I have a say in a lot of family decisions. I feel misunderstood and not respected. I don’t know what to do.
